A logical step if you know that an artificial soccer pitch requires less maintenance and still feels like natural grass. Furthermore, it's space-saving - a natural grass pitch needs a certain recovery time during which play has to move to another field. An artificial grass pitch is useable all through the year.

Official approval
Artificial grass has earned its place on the football scene. UEFA, the European football's umbrella body, has given the go ahead to organise the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup games and the qualification games for the World Cup and the European championships on artificial grass pitches.
FIFA Quality Concept
FIFA is also promoting synthetic grass for football. In 2001, FIFA launched its Quality Concept: a rigorous testing programme for artificial football surfaces. The aim was to develop an international standard for artificial grass, in order to guarantee the safety of football players and to encourage the developments in the artificial turf industry.
